The Secondary School for Nutrition and Food Processing, operating within the Piramida Educational Centre Maribor, is the central educational institution for nutrition and food science in northeastern Slovenia. Our programs are based on a long-standing tradition while keeping pace with modern economic needs and sustainable development goals.
We educate for professions that are a key part of the food chain – baker, confectioner, and butcher – and offer opportunities for further development through technical-vocational and higher education programs. Students of the technical gymnasium enhance their knowledge in natural sciences and technology with a focus on microbiology, chemistry, biotechnology, and laboratory practice.
Our center provides a clear educational pathway – from vocational to higher education – and fosters creativity, practical knowledge, and responsibility toward food, people, and the environment.
