All students complete 800 hours of practical training during their studies (400 hours in the 1st year and 400 hours in the 2nd year). Students may find a practical training (PT) placement on their own (with the consent of the instructors – PT organizers, to ensure that the company or placement is suitable), or the school can assist them in finding a placement. Students can communicate their preferences to the PT instructors. The college collaborates with more than 100 different companies, providing a wide range of options so that each student can find a field that suits them. If no preferences are submitted, the school arranges the PT placement.
Before starting the practical training, students sign a tripartite agreement (contract between the company, the student, and the school), which outlines the rights and obligations of all three parties. This ensures that the student and the school commit to performing the practical training seriously and professionally.
Practical training takes place at employers in the food industry or food-related crafts, in school workshops, intercompany training centers, large kitchens, and other companies connected to food and nutrition.
