Food production is one of the fundamental activities of society, as it ensures its survival. According to data, Slovenian households spend more than one-tenth of their total expenses on food. At the same time, food has long ceased to be merely a means of survival — an increasing number of people care about what they buy, where they buy it, and what they put on their plates. They are aware that food choices and eating habits significantly affect overall well-being and health. Therefore, our Food Technology and Nutrition program remains highly relevant and attractive.
By enrolling in our Higher Vocational College, you will study according to a modern, well-designed program that allows you, in the second year, to specialize either in food production or nutrition. Additionally, by selecting elective courses, you can tailor your education to the specific knowledge and experience you wish to gain.
We offer our students a great deal — well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, and specialized facilities with modern equipment; the professionalism of lecturers and staff; individual support for each student; a student tutoring system; and the opportunity to complete practical training in over 100 different companies and institutions — including abroad through the Erasmus+ program.
We place strong emphasis on connecting theory with practice. Students gain insight into their future work environments through professional excursions that we regularly organize as part of lectures and seminars. In this way, students have an ideal opportunity to link theoretical knowledge from the classroom with real-world experience.
Our school is not large, as we offer only one higher education program. However, this allows us to truly get to know one another, provide individual attention to every student, and be present and available whenever they need us.
For relaxation, conversation, or simply a pleasant break between obligations, students can enjoy our training shop and confectionery, where they can have a coffee or tea, order breakfast, buy a pastry, or treat themselves to one of our delicious creations.
